TIL a client's dad in Cincinnati taught me most barbers don't hold the comb right for blending

He showed me how to angle the comb's teeth against the grain for a smoother transition, and now I see it's a common mistake that creates harsh lines, so has anyone else picked up a simple technique from an unexpected source?

That's so true... it's wild how a tiny change in grip can make such a big difference. Makes you wonder what other simple tricks we're all missing.

Yeah, that thing about the tiny change in grip really hits home. I felt the same way when a painter friend showed me how to hold a roller differently to avoid those annoying streaks. It was just a slight shift in my wrist, but the whole wall looked smoother. You go years doing something one way and never realize there's a better method right under your nose. It makes you look at every simple task differently.
