Rant: My Wahl Senior cord just gave out mid-fade yesterday

I had to finish the cut with my backup clipper, which buzzed like a lawnmower and left the guy looking a bit rough, so has anyone found a good replacement cord that actually holds up?

Feels like everything is built to break right after the warranty ends now. You buy a good brand expecting it to last, and the cord just quits on you mid-job. Makes you wonder why they can't just make a solid, thick cord that doesn't wear out in the same spot. It's not just clippers, it's phone chargers, appliance plugs, the whole deal.

But that's kind of the point, right? They make them cheap so we can afford to replace things and get newer models. If everything lasted forever, nobody would buy new stuff and the whole system falls apart.
