Rant: My last appointment was with a toddler who treated the chair like a jungle gym.

I nearly nicked his ear three times because he wouldn't hold still.

Three close calls with a toddler's ear doesn't mean it's a crisis. Kids are naturally fidgety, especially at that age. You might just need to adjust your way of handling them.

Listen, three close calls is three warnings you're ignoring. That's how accidents happen, full stop. Kids are wiggly but that means you have to be more careful, not less. Calling it "not a crisis" is how a real crisis starts. Adjust YOUR approach before luck runs out.
