Question about dealing with a client who can't sit still
Had a regular who always jerked his head when I got near his sideburns. Last week, I gently rested my free hand on his shoulder while I trimmed with the other, applying a little steady pressure. He stopped moving completely. It was a simple fix I saw another barber use years ago but never tried myself. Anyone have other tricks for fidgety clients?

That shoulder trick is solid. Saw something similar with a guy who kept tapping his feet. The barber just casually leaned his hip against the client's knee, not even really pressing, just making contact. The tapping stopped right away. Sometimes it's just about breaking that nervous rhythm with a little steady touch.

Wish I'd known this before I accidentally knee'd my last barber in the hip.

Guess I need to try that hip trick from @janab82, my fidgety clients probably think I'm doing a bad dance.
