Pro tip: Tidying up my station every day changed things for me

I used to just toss my clippers and combs wherever after each cut, and it was chaos. But a few weeks ago, I started putting everything back in its place right away, and now I'm not wasting time looking for stuff between clients. Has anyone else found that a simple routine change like this boosted their day?

Totally! I had the same thing with my workbench. My tape measure and pencils would just vanish into the clutter by noon. Now, the first five minutes of my day is just resetting everything to its spot, like putting all my drivers back on the magnetic strip. It feels way less chaotic, and I'm not digging under piles of scraps anymore. Such a small thing makes the whole day smoother.

Seriously, @kai83, that magnetic strip trick is key. I read something about how just having a set spot for your most used tools actually saves your brain power for the real work. It said clutter forces your mind to waste energy just looking for stuff. Your reset routine probably cuts out a dozen tiny decisions before you even start.

My magnetic strip is basically my workbench's life support system. Without it I'm pretty sure the screwdrivers would unionize and walk off the job by lunch.
