Just realized I was using way too much pressure on my clipper lever

For like 5 years I kept thinking loose blades meant my lever was broken. Saw a barber in Chicago named Marco adjust his with barely any finger pressure. Tried it myself last Tuesday and suddenly my fades started blending way smoother. Has anyone else been pressing down too hard and making things worse?

Told my dog grooming clients the same thing for years. The difference is night and day.
