Take his side for a second. He paid you for your time and watched you work, he had every right to speak up if he thought something was off. You're the pro, but you still missed a basic setup check before you even started cutting. That's on you, not him. If the lever was wrong from the jump, then your whole fade was built on a bad foundation and he probably knew what he was talking about. Blaming the customer for catching your mistake is a weak move. Own it, learn from it, and move on instead of getting defensive.

Yo honestly this is so real. I've been there myself and it sucks but Victor is right. Before I even touch clippers I do a quick lever check and a guard check just to be safe cause I learned the hard way that skipping that step can wreck a whole cut. If the customer saw something off and called it out early, that's actually a favor cause it saves you from having to fix a messed up fade later. The ego check is tough but once I started owning my mistakes like "yeah my bad let me fix that" the clients actually respect it way more. It's a simple habit to get into and it keeps the chair drama free.
