Finally hit 50 haircuts in one day last Saturday

I've been cutting hair for 6 years and always thought 40 was my max, but last Saturday I booked 50 and actually pulled it off. Client flow was nonstop from 8am to 6pm with no real breaks. Has anyone else hit a personal record that surprised them?

Did you have any days where you were doing touch ups and fades back to back, or was it mostly scissor cuts and buzzes? Because I feel like 50 is insane if you were doing detailed fades on every single head, those take me like 25 minutes minimum when I'm really dialed in. How did your hands feel around client 35 or 40... I imagine the grip strength starts fading around then.

A buddy of mine used to work in a shop where they did thirty plus haircuts a day, mostly fades, and he told me his hands would cramp up around the twenty fifth head no matter what. He said he started using those grip strengthener things in the car on the way to work, but @the_jordan, he admitted his wrist was pretty shot by the time he hit forty clients, especially on days when he was doing a lot of heavy detail work on the edges. His hands would go numb after a few hours, and he would just push through it until his shift ended.
