Clipper fading trick that took my fades up a notch
I kept fighting with harsh lines on my zero fades for months, especially around the parietal ridge on curly hair. Then I tried running my trimmer blade at a slight angle instead of straight against the skin, like a 15 degree tilt, and the blend smoothed out instantly. Anyone else mess with the blade angle on their trimmer or is that just a me thing?
Curious how you're holding the trimmer at that tilt when you come up over the ridge. Are you keeping the corner of the blade off the skin the whole pass, or does the angle shift as you go from the bottom to the top? Asking because on tighter curls I feel like the tilt works great going up but then digs in when I flip it. Also wondering if you're doing the tilt with just the trimmer or stacking it with a guard.
