Choosing between a Wahl Magic Clip and a Babyliss Pro for my main clipper

I had to pick a new main clipper for my chair at the shop in Tacoma. It came down to the Wahl Magic Clip for its known reliability or the Babyliss Pro for the power. I went with the Wahl, and after three months, the fade lever is already getting a bit sticky, which is a pain during a busy Saturday. Has anyone else had this issue and found a good fix, or should I have gone with the other one?

My buddy's Magic Clip lever did that, he used some oil and it's fine now.

Yeah I actually saw a barber on YouTube talk about this exact thing. He said most lever issues come from hair or dust buildup, not from the mechanism being broken. A drop of oil on the hinge point usually frees it right up. But he also warned people not to use WD-40 because it can wreck the plastic over time. He recommended just using the clipper oil that comes with most kits. Good to know your buddy got his fixed without having to buy a whole new clipper.

Maybe try a tiny drop of clipper oil on that lever.
