Can we talk about charging full price for a kid's cut vs pricing by age?

Heard a barber in Dayton say on a podcast that he charges every head the same $30 because "the clippers don't care how old you are," but a guy in my shop swears kids under 10 should be $18 or parents won't come back. Where do you all land on this?
