Bought a fancy 'self-cleaning' clipper brush for $40 and it just made a bigger mess
I saw this brush online that promised to clean clipper blades with just a button press. It looked slick, so I dropped forty bucks on it. When it arrived, I tried it on my Wahl blades and it just sprayed oil and hair bits all over my station mirror. My coworker laughed and said it looked like a tiny, angry snow globe. Anyone have a real brush they actually like that doesn't cost a fortune?

My Wahl Senior cordless blades fit perfectly in that cheap plastic guard from Andis. A drop of Cool Care on the teeth, a quick scrub with an old toothbrush, and it's spotless in ten seconds. Why complicate a simple job with a battery powered gadget?

Saw a barber on YouTube who swears by that same trick. Makes sense to keep it simple.

Admittedly I was one of those guys who thought a fancy brush was the way to go until I spent twenty minutes cleaning oil splatter off my station. That old toothbrush trick joseph mentioned actually works way better than I expected for how cheap it is. I mean, sometimes the simplest solution really is the best one.
