A regular told me my neckline work looked rushed, so I changed my whole cleanup routine.

My barber in Chicago told me once that a rushed neckline is the first thing a client notices when their shirt collar is up. It made me realize the cleanup isn't just about the back of the neck, it's about the transition from skin to hair along the entire curve. I started using a single blade razor for that final pass instead of just my clippers, and it adds maybe two minutes tops. The difference in how sharp and intentional it looks is honestly huge. That regular probably did you a favor by speaking up, because most people will just notice it's off and not come back.

Seriously? It's just a haircut.

Totally agree with @jordan_miller, switching to a razor for that last pass made all the difference for my regulars too.
