A client asked for a 'wolf cut' and brought in a photo of an actual wolf
Last Tuesday in Portland, this guy sits down and says he wants a wolf cut, then pulls up a photo of a gray wolf on his phone. I laughed thinking he was joking, but he was dead serious and kept pointing at the fur around the ears. I tried to explain the difference between the trend and animal fur for like 5 minutes, and he just kept saying 'make it look wild.' I ended up doing a choppy layered cut with extra texture on top, and he left happy, but I still don't know if I nailed it. Has anyone else had a client take a trend name too literally like that?

Wait, he pointed at the fur around the ears?? That's honestly kind of hilarious and terrifying at the same time. Like, I get wanting texture but did he expect you to just... give him a mane? I hope you charged extra for the patience alone. 'Make it look wild' is the kind of request that follows you home and keeps you up at night.
