The week Zelle cleared my rent payment in 2 seconds flat

I've been a check writer for years, stubborn about it. Then last Tuesday my landlord texted saying his bank lost my rent check for the third time in 6 months. I switched to Zelle on the spot, money moved from my account to his in under 2 minutes. What finally got me was the hassle factor, I wasted 4 hours on hold with my bank trying to cancel that lost check. Is anyone else finding peer-to-peer payments more reliable than traditional ACH transfers now?

yeah checks are a nightmare honestly... Zelle just works. No going back now.

Wait, you've fully abandoned checks?! I still have people handing them to me on my route sometimes and it blows my mind. The idea of using Zelle for everything feels so foreign when I'm still dealing with handwritten checks that look like ancient artifacts. Guess I need to get with the times before someone tries to pay me in actual clay tablets.
