Showerthought: the teller at my credit union in Toledo caught a $200 mix-up before I did
Last Tuesday I handed over my deposit slip at the branch on Secor Road and the teller counted my cash twice, then told me I was short $200 from what I wrote down. I was about to argue when she flipped the slip around and showed me where I'd written the wrong number on the carbon copy. She fixed it in maybe two minutes and I walked out feeling pretty dumb. That one small pause on her end saved me from a bounced rent check and a $35 fee. Has anyone else had a teller spot a mistake like that before you even noticed?
