Pro tip: My skepticism about mobile check deposit finally faded

I always thought mobile check deposit would fail with smaller banks, but I tried it with my credit union in Portland last month and it cleared in 2 hours. $150 check with no hiccups has me convinced now. Anyone else have a surprise success story with a feature you doubted?

Yeah it worked way better than I expected with my local credit union too, deposited a $200 check and it was in my account before I even finished my coffee lol.

Gotta disagree man. My local credit union still puts a hold on anything over $50. Said $200 check would clear in 2 business days. Took 4. And that was with direct deposit history going back 3 years. Glad it worked for you but I think that's the exception not the rule.
