Pro tip: double check the ATM before you walk away

Last month I was at a Chase ATM in downtown Portland and grabbed $40 for groceries. Walked three blocks to the store and realized the machine never spit out my card. Rushed back and it was gone, someone already snatched it. Had to cancel everything and wait a week for a new one. Anyone else ever leave their card behind at an ATM?

Understand you want to be careful, but freezing a card online takes two minutes, no cancellation needed.
