My credit union teller talked me out of a cashier's check for a car and she was right
Back in March I was about to buy a used Corolla from a guy in Mesa and I went in to get a $6,200 cashier's check. The teller asked if I'd seen the car in person yet and I said no, so she talked me into a small deposit transfer instead. Turns out the listing was a fake and the "seller" stopped answering the second I asked to meet at a police station. Anyone else had a bank employee flag something like this before it went bad?
