I finally switched from paper ledgers to a digital bookkeeping app

For 10 years I ran my small contracting business with a paper ledger and a calculator. Every Friday I would tally up checks and cash by hand, then write everything into a green column pad. Last January I got audited and spent 3 weeks digging through shoeboxes of receipts. That pushed me over the edge. Now I use a simple app on my phone that scans receipts and tracks payments in real time. It took me 2 months to get used to it and I still miss the feel of a pen sometimes. But my accountant says my records are cleaner than ever. Has anyone else made this switch and found it harder to trust the digital numbers at first?
