Rant: my husband said my cookies tasted like nothing, so I started weighing flour on a $12 scale
He did not say it mean. Just took a bite and said they taste like nothing. Not bad, just nothing. That stung more than if he had hated them.
I had been scooping flour out of the bag with the measuring cup for like 15 years. Turns out I was packing in way too much and the dough was dry and bland every single time. Nobody ever said a word until him.
Got a small kitchen scale at a garage sale for $12. Now I weigh 120 grams per cup. First batch out of the oven my daughter ate four. He came back for a second one and did not say anything about nothing.
So if you are still scooping, what got you to finally switch, or are you still scooping and happy with it?
