Pro tip: Let your kid's baking blunder become a kitchen memory

My son swapped baking powder for cornstarch in our muffins last week, and they turned out like hockey pucks. I used to get upset over stuff like that, but now I see it's how they learn and we end up with a good story. What's a time your family's baking fail actually made things better?

Remember when my daughter was learning to bake and mixed up the salt and sugar in chocolate chip cookies? We took one bite and just about spit them out! But now we call them "salty surprise cookies" and laugh every time. That mess taught her to double check labels better than any lecture ever could.

Hockey puck muffins sound gourmet compared to my brownies that could double as driveway pavers. I think I invented a new building material that day.
