My grandma watched me frost a cake and asked why I was rushing, and she was right
I was at my grandma's place in Toledo over the weekend and she sat there watching me slap frosting on a cake like I had a bus to catch, then she just goes "the cake can tell when you're mad at it." At first I laughed it off but then I slowed down and actually the edges came out clean for the first time in like 4 attempts. Is slowing way down the actual secret or do some of you just have steadier hands than me?
Oh man this is so real. I bake when I'm stressed and my cakes look like a crime scene, but the one time I just zoned out and took my sweet time the whole thing looked store bought. Rushing messes with your hands way more than people admit.
