Been baking for 5 years and just learned my oven runs 50 degrees cold

I kept wondering why my cakes were always gummy in the middle even though I followed recipes exactly... then my neighbor lent me her oven thermometer after her bread came out flat in my oven. Turns out my fancy digital display is straight up lying to me by 50 degrees. Has anyone else found a huge difference between their oven setting and what an external thermometer reads?

My oven's 30 degrees off but I still blame the recipe first.

@amyh21 I just started adding 2 extra minutes and that fixed it for me.
