Vent: Thought my new LED floodlight would make stargazing easier but it ruined my night vision
Swapped out my old red-filtered flashlight for a 5000K floodlight last week and instantly lost every faint star in the sky for 20 minutes. Anyone else accidentally wreck their setup with too much white light?

Lost every faint star for 20 minutes" - that's brutal. I would've been so mad swapping out a red light for that.

Wait, @eva_thompson10, didn't you have the same issue with a red filter though? Red light preserves your night vision way better than white light, but that 5000K floodlight is basically a tiny sun pointed at your yard. You might want to swap it for a 2700K warm light with a dimmer or just stick with that red flashlight for stargazing purposes.
