The night the Perseids were so bright they looked like they were exploding, not just falling.

Last August, after a wildfire smoke haze cleared from our valley, I saw over 120 meteors in an hour from my deck, a few leaving glowing trails that lasted a full 3 seconds, which completely changed how I think about light pollution's real impact.

Actually tried counting once, but gave up after a few minutes. Isn't the whole point to just get lost in it?

I lost count too, like @lee_martinez97, but the bright ones are what you remember.
