Shoutout to the guy who mentioned a red flashlight on here a while back

Took me 3 nights of ruining my night vision with my phone screen before I finally ordered one, and it arrived yesterday. What other basic gear did you all put off getting for way too long?

My old leatherman sat in a drawer for years. Finally clipped it to my belt last month. Now I use it almost every day for random stuff. Should have done that a decade ago.

My dad gave me a Leatherman Wave for my 18th birthday and it lived in a toolbox until last year. I feel you, @matthew864, it's wild how something just sits there waiting to be useful. I finally started carrying mine and now I'm the guy constantly fixing loose screws on office chairs. I guess the trick is just having it on you, which seems so obvious now.

Oh man, same thing happened to me with a headlamp. I kept using my phone flashlight for months even though it was terrible. Finally picked up a decent one and it's crazy I waited that long.
