Overheard some guy at the park bragging about his $1,000 telescope and I'm over here with my 20 year old Meade.

He said you can't see Saturn's rings without spending at least $500, but I've been spotting them every clear night for years with this beat up scope I got for free from my uncle's garage sale, so is it really about the gear or just knowing where to look?

Feel you man, my scope wobbles like crazy if there's even a slight breeze but I still catch Jupiter's moons almost every night. It's way more about patience and knowing the sky than dropping a stack on fancy glass.
