Noticed a big shift in how clearly I see Jupiter after swapping my eyepiece
I went from using the stock 25mm that came with my telescope to a 15mm I picked up at an astronomy club swap meet, and the detail on the bands was night and day different after just one clear night. Has anyone else seen a big jump like that just from changing one piece of gear?

That "night and day different" thing is so real. I had a similar moment when I swapped my stock 25mm for a 9mm planetary eyepiece I found online. The bands on Jupiter went from being a blurry suggestion to super crisp with clear gaps between them. It's wild how a single piece of glass can either make you feel like you're looking through a screen door or like you're right there in orbit.

Oh yeah, "night and day different" hits the nail on the head. It's funny how one little change can make such a big difference, like how swapping out a dull kitchen knife for a sharp one suddenly makes cooking way more fun. I've noticed the same pattern with other stuff, like when I upgraded my phone's camera and started actually wanting to take photos of random things. It's like sometimes you don't realize how much a basic tool is holding you back until you try something a little better. Makes you wonder what else in life could use a small upgrade.
