Night sky maps printed vs. phone apps, I miss the paper sometimes

I used to print out sky maps from a free website back in like 2016, fold them up, and bring a red flashlight out to the yard in Omaha. Now I just pull up an app on my phone and it points at everything for me, which is way easier honestly. But last week I tried the paper again for the Perseids and it felt slower in a good way, like I actually learned the constellations instead of just confirming them. The app is great for finding one thing fast, but I feel like I don't remember where stuff is as well anymore. Anyone else gone back to printed charts, or is it just me being nostalgic about holding something that doesn't need charging?

Isn't the whole point of going outside to actually SEE the sky, not fumble with paper that blows away the second a breeze hits? And you can't zoom into a printed chart when you're trying to figure out if that faint dot is actually a satellite or just your neighbor's porch light. Honestly, the app gets me back inside faster, and that's a win in my book.
