Left my red flashlight on the deck rail overnight, and the dew gave me a weird result
I usually bring my red light inside after a session, but last Thursday I forgot it on the rail and it sat through a heavy dew. The next morning the lens was fogged on the inside, so I figured it was done for. I set it in a bowl of rice for about 6 hours, and not only did it dry out, the beam looked dimmer and smoother, which turned out to be better for my eyes in the yard. I think the moisture slightly etched the plastic, and now I want to know if anyone else has tried roughing up a lens on purpose to cut glare.
