County park lights ruined my view until I found the tree line gap

Compared my usual spot in the open field to a narrow gap between two pines at the east edge, the difference was massive after 9pm Saturday. Does anyone else scout their yard at different times just to dodge streetlight glare, or am I overthinking this?
