Rant: figured out predator netting the hard way after 9 nights

Took me over a week and three dead birds to realize my netting had a 4 inch gap at the bottom corner... a raccoon found it night one. I patched it with zip ties and stakes, then watched the motion cam catch it testing the same spot for 3 straight nights. Anyone else have a predator that keeps checking a weak point even after you've fixed it?
