My rooster decided to fight the neighbor's dog through the fence
I was out back in Omaha last Tuesday giving the girls some scratch and suddenly my Buff Orpington rooster, Barnaby, starts flogging the chain link like crazy. Turns out the neighbor's lab had squeezed under their gate and was sniffing around my coop... Barnaby took a hard tumble off the fence rail and limped for two days before he was fine. Has anyone else had a rooster that acts like a tiny feathered bodyguard against animals way bigger than him?

Oh man, Barnaby sounds like a champ! My little bantam roo once tried to square up with a cat three times his size that wandered into the run. Took a beak to the face and still strutted around like he won the fight!
