People have forgotten what it means to live in a community with actual neighbors. Calling the cops over a rooster at 6 AM is peak suburban nonsense where everyone thinks their comfort zone extends ten feet past their property line. Roosters crow, dogs bark, lawnmowers run on Saturday mornings - that's the soundtrack of people existing. We've gotten so used to perfect quiet that any small noise feels like a personal attack. This is the same mindset that gets HOA boards formed and kids told to play somewhere else. Might be time to accept that living near other humans means hearing them sometimes.
