Hit 100 eggs this week and it got me thinking about my first clutch

I counted up my egg cartons yesterday and realized I've collected 100 eggs since March from my 4 hens. That number really surprised me because I remember starting out with just one little coop and a handful of birds that barely laid anything for months. It feels like a quiet milestone, not like some big award, but seeing those cartons stack up in my garage made me proud. Anyone else keep a tally of their egg count or was I just being weird about it?

Heard a story from my buddy Dave who kept hens for years. He never counted anything, just tossed cartons in a bin, until one day his wife made him clean the garage and he found like 400 eggs from the past season. The bottom ones were basically fossils, and he had to throw most out. Made me realize counting is the sane route, so good on you for tracking it.
