Tried pressure washing my deck with diluted bleach and it went all patchy on me
Used a 50/50 mix like the guy at the hardware store said and now I've got these weird light spots near the house that won't even out, has anyone else dealt with uneven bleaching on a southern-facing deck in July?

@aaron708 nailed it, start with wetting the deck first to stop patchy burn from sun heat.

Fifty-fifty is way too hot for July on a south facing deck man. I learned that the hard way last summer on my own place. The sun cooks that bleach before it even has a chance to work right, so you end up with these burned-out spots where it dried too fast near the house where the heat reflects off the wall. It's like that thing with everything in life where people think double the product means double the results, but really you just end up with a mess. Dilute it down to like one part bleach to four parts water with some dish soap and do it early morning or late evening when the sun isn't hammering it. Then you gotta wet the whole deck down first so it all soaks in even.
