Built a lean-to off my shed after 3 years of wet firewood
Last month I finally got tired of tarp over the woodpile falling down every storm. I framed a simple lean-to off the north side of my shed with 4x4 posts and corrugated metal roofing, about 10x6 feet. Total cost was around $180 from the local lumber yard in Eugene, including the brackets. Took me a Saturday morning with a level and a drill, nothing fancy. The wood stays dry now even after that week of heavy rain we had. Anyone else rig up a cheap roof for their firewood, or do you just build a proper woodshed right away?

$180 for a 10x6 setup from the lumber yard in Eugene is wild to me, I priced corrugated panels alone last spring and it was more than that. Did you catch a sale or is your yard just way cheaper than mine... makes me wonder if I got hosed. Either way the north side is smart, that's where the weather hits hardest.

Got lucky with timing, not the yard. My guy had a stack of seconds and returns sitting in the back lot since fall and he wanted it gone, so I got panels at half price. Most yards charge full retail and you'd be right to feel hosed at those numbers. North side still holds up either way, that part I'll agree on.
