Took me 45 minutes to untangle my hammock straps at Yosemite last weekend

I don't know how I did it, but my whoopie slings got so twisted up they looked like a birds nest. I was standing there in the dark with a headlamp trying to pick apart the knots one by one. My buddy set up his tent in like 5 minutes while I sat there cursing at the strings. Has anyone else had a ridiculous amount of trouble with hammock gear at camp?

You were using whoopie slings in the dark? Why not just switch to daisy chains or cinch buckles before it gets dark?

My 2 cents - whoopie slings are actually easier in the dark because you can feel the bury knot without needing to see it, no fumbling with metal buckles that get freezing cold.
