DAE have a trekking pole snap at the worst spot on the Lost Coast and just keep hiking?
Second day out on the Lost Coast, right before the Big Flat river crossing. Left pole snapped clean at the middle joint when I leaned on it in the sand. No warning. I jammed the two halves together into one short stick and hobbled the rest of the 12 miles to camp. My knee paid for it. Anyone got a fix that holds up on wet sand or am I just buying new poles?
