Wasted a whole morning on a 'universal' serpentine belt tool
I mean, I saw this thing online for like $35, said it worked on any car. Tried it on a 2018 Honda Odyssey last week, the wrench part just snapped off after two turns. Had to run to the parts store anyway and buy the proper Honda tool for another $60. So that's almost a hundred bucks and three hours gone. Anyone else have a story about a 'one size fits all' tool that totally let you down?

Wasted a whole morning" is a bit much, right? It's just a broken tool and a trip to the store. Stuff like that happens when you work on cars. I've used those universal tools before and they're fine for a quick fix. You just got a bad one or maybe put too much force on it. It's annoying but not the end of the world.

Yeah, exactly... @kevinc84 gets it. It's just part of the deal, you know? You're gonna lose some time here and there.

Ugh, tell me about it. That lost time just adds up over the years.
