Was dead set against those cheap infrared temp guns until I used one to find a misfire on a 5.4 Ford last week

Picked up a $20 one at Harbor Freight to prove it was junk, but it caught a cold cylinder instantly that my expensive scan tool kept missing - has anyone else had a cheap tool save them hours like that?

That scan tool probably just needed someone who knows what they're doing.

Honestly I used to think the same thing til I tried it myself @tyler492. Changed my mind real quick lol.
