Unpopular opinion: I used to think a 10mm socket was just a meme until I lost three of them in a single engine bay on a 2018 F-150.
I finally realized it's not a joke but a real design flaw when the socket's shallow grip and the bolt's recessed placement on that specific model make it a perfect recipe for a $15 tool to vanish into thin air, so has anyone found a specific brand or magnetic holder that actually keeps them secure?

Used to roll my eyes at the 10mm drama until I dropped one into the frame rail of a Silverado and heard it rattle around for a solid ten seconds before going silent. That sound changed my whole view on the thing. Now I buy the cheap magnetic trays from Harbor Freight and stick one on every fender before I start anything.

Oh man, I lost count after the third one. I just accepted my fate as a guy who buys socks in bulk because half are destined to vanish into the laundry void. I'm pretty sure a dryer in my old apartment was a secret portal to another dimension. I gave up looking when I realized I was spending more time hunting for matches than actually wearing the socks.
