Took me 12 years to listen to a customer about torque specs

A semi driver told me my u-joint job would fail because I was using a 3/4 drive impact instead of a torque wrench, I laughed it off until the driveshaft let go on the interstate 3 days later, now I torque every single driveline bolt to spec, anyone else have a customer call it before it broke?

Man, I had the exact same thing happen with a wheel bearing awhile back, customer kept telling me it was gonna overheat if I didn't hit the torque right and I blew him off until I had to replace the hub three weeks later. Now I don't argue with the old timers, they've seen stuff fail in ways you just can't picture until it happens to you.
