That seized caliper bolt took me 6 hours, not 45 minutes
I kept telling myself it was a quick brake job, but the lower caliper bolt on my buddy's 2012 F-150 just would not break free. Penetrating oil, heat from my propane torch, even cheater bar on my breaker bar and nothing for the first 3 hours. Finally I stopped being stubborn and cut the head off with a grinder, then used a stud extractor on the remaining piece. That whole ordeal made me realize I should just go straight to cutting when rust is that bad... do you guys skip the soaking and torch step or am I the only one who wastes a whole day?
