Spent 4 hours on a 20 minute brake job yesterday

1998 Civic came in for rear drum brakes. Simple job right? Took one look at the adjuster and wanted to cry. Previous guy had put the star wheel on backwards. Couldn't get the drum off at all. Had to torch the drums off in the end. Four hours for something that should've been done before lunch. Anyone else find those backwards adjusters way more often than you'd expect?

Yeah that PB Blaster smell just never really leaves you.

Oh man, I feel your pain. Found one of those backwards adjusters on a '99 Corolla last month and it took me three hours just to get the drum off. Had to beat it with a mallet and spray PB Blaster everywhere (my garage still smells like it).

And the worst part is you can't even see it's backwards until you've already fought with the drum for an hour.
