Serious question, how do you sort out those weird transmission fluid leaks?
They always seem to come from a hard spot to see. I put UV dye in the fluid and use a black light, it shows the exact source every time.

Oh man, the UV dye trick is the real deal... I should have tried that before my own "just keep adding it" phase, which honestly makes @finley820's buddy look like a careful mechanic. I once went so long with a leak that I'm pretty sure the transmission was running on hopes and dust... learned that lesson the expensive way.

Actually that UV dye is overkill for most leaks. Usually just cleaning everything off and looking for fresh wet spots works fine.
