Question about using the wrong coolant in a Ford 6.7 Powerstroke
I mean, I see it at least once a month. Someone brings in a 6.7 with overheating issues, and they've been topping it off with the green universal stuff. That motor needs the specific Motorcraft Orange VC-3B, full stop. The silicate drop-out from the wrong coolant clogs the oil cooler and the EGR cooler. I had a truck last week where the repair bill hit $4,200 because the oil cooler failed. It's not a suggestion, it's a requirement. Has anyone else had to explain this to a customer who just won't listen?

Ugh, learned that one the hard way myself.

Just show them the old clogged cooler next to a new one, that usually shuts them up.

It's a tough lesson that a lot of folks learn too late, like wade_perez said. That repair bill really drives the point home about using the right stuff. You just can't cut corners with that cooling system.
