PSA: Check the glove box before you pull the whole dash
Last week at the shop, a guy came in with a 2017 F-150 that had a loud rattle behind the dash. We spent over an hour pulling panels, thinking it was a loose blend door or something. My buddy Mike finally found the source: a single, loose AA battery rolling around in the glove box every time he turned a corner. The customer had just tossed it in there after changing his TV remote. Anyone else had a 'fix' that turned out to be something stupid simple?

My 2008 Civic had the exact same battery rattle.

Did Honda just use the same cheap part for a decade?

Honestly, that rattle @rileyl98 mentioned might be the secret to their reliability. If a cheap part lasts ten years, maybe it's not so cheap.
