I finally stopped fighting my breaker bar and switched to a torque wrench for lug nuts
Used to just crank wheels on with the impact gun until they felt snug, had a customer come back in 2019 with warped rotors on his F-150 after I did a tire rotation. Now I torque every lug nut to spec with a clicker wrench, even on my own cars. Anyone else have a habit they stuck with for way too long before a shop incident forced a change?

Man, same here! I used to just hammer lugs on with the impact until they stopped moving, figured tight was tight. Then a buddy had his rear wheel come loose on the highway after I helped him swap tires, and that scared me straight real quick. Bought a cheap clicker torque wrench the next week and now I hit every lug at 100 ft-lbs on my truck and 80 on the wife's car, every single time. That impact gun stays in the toolbox now unless I'm pulling bolts off.
